Brighton Faves
Brighton is a great place for eating, and it's one of the reasons why we've been so happy here! Our regular haunts include:
Pub du Vin - a casual little brother to the Bistro which is part of the Hotel du Vin, this place is great for anytime. They have a small pub menu but the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff friendly, and I love having condiments on the table so I can season and sauce to my heart's content. My absolute favorite is the scotch egg which might not sound appealing, but really is one of the best things I've ever eaten and almost a meal in itself. The curried mayo really pushes it over the edge!
Pompoko - a Japanese fast food restaurant which has a huge variety of "don" and other Japanese fare. Not a lot of places to sit but worth squeezing yourself into a tight spot because the food is tasty AND cheap. Not many places where you can actually eat something so nice for a fiver!
Nasza - the first Polish restaurant in Brighton and a really good one--you have to give it a try if you're a fan of Polish food. We've been to several in London but this tops our list. The pierogi are wonderful (I've even heard rumors that you can buy them in bulk to freeze at home) and I can't help getting the bigos when I'm there. The portion is huge and I love every single smoky bite.
